Acer XP Mantara Square Driver - head only. Titanium driver clubhead

Acer XP Mantara Square Driver Head Only   Bold, symmetrical, sleek, powerful … and straight Material: Face: 6-4 Titanium Body: 100% Titanium Finish: Royal Blue Features: Bold, symmetrical, sleek and powerful. Inspired by the enormous, but graceful manta ray, the clubhead takes on a “square-like” shape. Why? All in an effort to move more weight further from the center of gravity (or out toward the outermost perimeter of the head) creating a slightly high moment of inertia over a traditional shaped driver. In layman’s terms it is to provide a straighter, more accurate shot off the tee. The large 460cc head with multi-sculpted crown and sole will catch the eyes of your playing partner’s and boost your confidence at address. See first-hand how the shape of woods in the future can help you play better today. Available RH 10.5 and 12 degrees, LH 10.5 degrees. Please note: This is a clubhead only. Does not include shaft or grip. It is for those who like to assemble their own clubs. Better equipment = Lower Scores Loft? Lie? Power Play System Q2 driver. 460cc Titanium driver - Square Faced driver with removable weights and superb aesthetics

Interloper Golf Presents The ‘System Q2′ – Square face design with superb aesthetics Distance and control Material: Face: 6/4 Titanium Body: 100% Titanium Shaft: True Ace Blue Crush. Weight: 62 grams. Torque: 2.9. Flex: Regular (default). Also available in Stiff Flex. It comes equipped with the True Ace Blue Crush Graphite Shaft. The lightweight True Ace Blue Crush is specifically designed with an ultra-low torque which provides tip stable performance for large headed drivers. That’s what we used in testing this club (read reviews). The blue crush has a low torque of 2.9, lightweight at only 62 grams and goes very well with this club. It is a little bit pricier than shafts like the Aldilla VX, the Powerflex FW-114 and Powerflex FW-501 but delivers good consistent performance. It is lighter – that translates to faster clubhead speed – that translates to longer drives. It has very low torque – that translates to less twisting at impact – that translates to straighter drives. If your swing speed is 110 or higher, you may want to go with Stiff flex. If between 100 to 110, regular may be a better flex. If you go with a flex that is too stiff for you, the club won’t respond and feel dead in your hands. Many golfers (young men especially) feel they have to have the stiffest shaft possible. Not a good idea as you loose the oomph provided by the shaft. Not sure what your swing speed is? You can rent or [Read More ...]

Acer XDS insider driver with graphite shaft - 460cc Titanium - available in 10.5? and 12? - facilitates an inside-out swing

Acer XDS Insider 460cc Titanium Driver Material: Face: 6-4 Titanium Body: 100% Titanium Finish: Charcoal Metallic The most common tendency amongst weekend warriors is coming over the top and making an outside-in move resulting in a push, fade or the dreaded slice. It ruins that hole if not the whole game. Designers have to be more creative in designing clubs – designing them around the way the average golfer swings, rather than creating perfect clubs and expecting golfers to swing that way. A Golf Digest article states that if a golfer were able to change to more of an inside-out movement a golfer who swung 95 mph could gain as much as 42 yards. Of course, this would require a huge change in how the person swings the club and let’s face it most golfers are not going to be able to put in that much time and effort. But through creating design features in the club head, the golfer can be encouraged to make more of an inside-out path. This is how the Acer XDS Insider got its name. The profile of the head as well as the contour on the crown was specifically designed to create a mental picture of swinging from the inside to encourage one to swing the driver on an inside-out swing path instead of that dreaded distance robbing over-the-top move. The XDS Insider also helps you in other ways. Internal weighting creates a draw bias shifting weight toward the heel to assist in rotating [Read More ...]
